Biography

Marcie Paul began teaching at St. Norbert College in 1984 as an associate professor of Spanish. A specialist in contemporary Latin American narrative, she regularly taught the Survey of Latin American Literature and a senior capstone course entitled “Mexico: From the Revolution to the Present.” She also instucted courses on Contemporary Hispanic Cinema. Dr. Paul’s research interests include metaphysical detective fiction and the Mexican “Crack” writers. She presented papers at the Kentucky Foreign Language Conference and at the University of Ireland, Galway, and authored a chapter in a volume of essays entitled "Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Detective Fiction" (2006).
