Romie Kosnar, one of St. Norbert’s leading all-time basketball stars from 1947-1951, became head basketball coach in 1958. Kosnar, a native of Lena, Wisconsin, also served as an assistant football coach, head track coach, golf coach, intramural director and physical education instructor, in addition his basketball position. Kosnar received a degree in Biology from St. Norbert in 1951 and completed his Master’s degree in Physical Education in 1959. St. Norbert awarded him Professor Emeritus in 1993.
