Biography

A native of Belgium, Mary Techmeier joined the department of modern foreign languages at St. Nobert in 1966 and taught as a Professor of French for nearly 30 years. She received her undergraduate degree from St. Norbert in 1963 after attending the Institute St. Louis in Brussels, Belgium, and received her Ph.D. in French from Laval University in Quebec. Among her many students, she was known as “Madame Techmeier.” In 1992, Dr. Techmeier was awarded Professor Emeritus.
