Biography

The Rev. Dr. Rowland De Peaux, O.Praem., a member of the Norbertine Order of Catholic clergy, spent the better part of his life in service as an educator. After graduating from St. Norbert College in 1948, Fr. De Peaux spent more than 10 years as a high school educator at St. Norbert High School (De Pere, WI), Southeast Catholic High School (Philadelphia, PA) and later Premontre High School (Green Bay, WI) before returning to the University of Wisconsin-Madison to pursue his graduate and doctoral degrees in French and Spanish Studies. Fr. De Peaux also studied at Sorbonne University in Paris, France. Fr. De Peaux retired as a French and Spanish professor at St. Norbert College in 1991.
